ORPHEUS AND EURYDICE

The world was born out of love, and it was out of love that it almost perished. Not just once. At the dawn of time, the love that gods and mortals felt for each other was so strong and powerful that it could defy the laws of nature. Such was the love Orpheus felt for his sweetheart Euridice, who died an untimely death. So he ventured to the world of the dead to bring her back, his only weapons being his music and his deep yearning for her.
